This Orthodox cross is made from wood with a beautiful trefoil (three-lobed) form symbolizing the Holy Trinity. The front bears a printed icon of the Crucifixion with Christ on the cross in traditional Orthodox style – without a crown of thorns, with two separate foot nails (each foot nailed separately), and Jerusalem depicted in the background. Above Christ is the inscription bar, and beside His body are visible the lance that pierced Him and the sponge soaked with gall. At the top of the cross is a smaller icon of Christ the Savior.
The back of the cross bears a deeply carved prayer in Serbian: Jesus Christ is power and knowledge… The Cross is salvation. The rim features a white decorative pattern emphasizing the trefoil shape. The upper section has a hole for hanging on the wall. The cross is finished in natural wood tone with prominent grain giving a rustic, authentic appearance.
